Opportunities for Adults

Relationships are important at Covenant—our relationship with God, and our relationships with each other. We have a variety of classes and small groups that offer different approaches to sharing truth and grace together as we follow Christ on the journey of faith.

  • Learning Communities, Sunday at 9:00 am.

    Roundtables: Space for Spiritual Questions

Roundtables is a weekly learning community of adults focused around life topics, faith and small group discussion where we look at the relationship between faith and contemporary culture. We meet and talk around tables in room 204 and on Zoom.

Join us Sunday, from 9:00-10:15 am.

Current Topic: Listening for the Voice behind the Text; facilitated by Scott Hiemstra, on the general topic reading the New Testament as a Jewish collection of documents.

    Future Topics: TBD

If you would like to be added to our email and invitation list please send an email to Bill Springston with your contact information: first and last name, preferred email, and phone number.

    Covenant Small Groups

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25

Goal: to have multiple small group offerings throughout the year with the nature of the groups being more fluid. The small groups will meet weekly with the times/locations/venues to be set by the leaders, ideally we'd love to have several groups try out an in person/virtual combination.  Times/days will be set by leaders and participants will sign up for the time/day that's most convenient for them. This concept provides the fluidity that we're looking to achieve, knowing that peoples schedules change or fluctuate throughout the year. Please contact John Bystroff by phone or email, if you have questions, would like to facilitate, or have ideas for a group topic.

    Format:

    • Social time: get to know each other and what is happening in each other’s lives
    • Devotional: this will be provided and will be tied to Pastor Jeff’s sermon series (more information to come later)
    • Response: an opportunity to respond to the devotional
    • Prayer time: receive prayer requests and pray as a group
    • Other content: elements are at the discretion of the leader and group

  • Women's Ministries

Covenant’s Women’s Ministries seeks to nurture women by helping to meet their needs at all ages and stages of life. Our goal is to meet each woman where she is, accept her, and invite her to be a part of our church family. Through weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual events, we hope to provide women with opportunities to build relationships with each other, to relax, to grow in their faith, and to have fun.

This year, The Well will begin on Thursday, September 16, Meetings will be held at Covenant, in room 204 from 6:30-8:00 pm.

Please state you would like more information or to join. We are on hiatus for the summer.

    Retreats and Special Gatherings

At recent events the women made fleece blankets for children in need, raised funds for trafficked women and children, and wrote cards to missionaries across the globe and to women in prison.
