On Sunday, October 15, at 10:15 a.m., we will have a special worship Service of Healing and Wholeness.

Whatever burden you are bearing: physical, spiritual, emotional, or mental, I invite you to bring those burdens to the Lord.

Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. – Matthew 11:28-29

Together we will boldly ask Jesus for healing. We will pray for and with one another. Our Shalom Ministers will lay hands upon and anoint with oil any who chose this special enacted prayer.

Are any among you suffering? They should pray. Are any cheerful? They should sing songs of praise. Are any among you sick? They should call for the elders of the church and have them pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up, and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven. – James 5:13-15

Asking for and accepting forgiveness, wellness, and wholeness is a big step toward healing what has burdened us in the past and living into the future He has in mind for us.

Not turning back and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 3:13-14

The Lord has big, joyful plans for us.These plans are for a glad future. This Sunday, let us move toward these godly plans by letting go of the hurt, and continue healing as we ask the Holy Spirit to once again lead, guide, and be with us.

For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope. Then when you call upon me and come and pray to me, I will hear you. When you search for me, you will find me; if you seek me with all your heart, I will let you find me, says the Lord, – Jeremiah 29:11-14

The grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
