Relationships are important at Covenant—our relationship with God, and our relationships with each other. We encourage a variety of classes and small groups at Covenant that have a flavor of truth and grace while we explore together in relationship what it means to be apprentices of Jesus.
Community Learning Hour
Classes for adults, youth and children are held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Sunday Mornings. Our adult offerings are:
An interactive class where we look at the relationship between faith and contemporary culture. We will meet and talk around tables in the Family Room at 9:00 a.m. Sunday mornings.
Mosaic is a community that meets Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in Room 204 (the Library). Our goal is to grow closer to those around us in a meaningful way, to dig deeper into the Word, to hear stories of God’s leading, and learn to offer our whole life to Christ in worship. Come check us out!
Covenant Worship Hour
At 10:15 a.m. all ages meet together for our Worship Service. After a time of praise and worship and celebrating the Lords Supper, children are excused to a short Children’s Church.
Covenant’s Women’s Ministries seeks to nurture women by helping to meet their needs
at all ages and stages of life. Our goal is to meet each woman where she is, accept her, and invite her to be a part of our church family.
We are all busy with our families, jobs, homes, and the variety of other things to which we devote our time. We want the women of Covenant to have the encouragement and environment in which they can grow in all areas of their lives. Through weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual events, we hope to provide women with opportunities to build relationships with each other, to relax, to grow in their faith, and to have fun.
Most activities are on break for the summer. Look for Bible studies, book club, and other activiites for women starting in September. For more information about the Women’s Ministry at Covenant, contact Judy Oraker at 719.597.0597.
Our Men’s Ministries provide great opportunities for guys of all ages to connect. We have weekly breakfast groups, an annual fall retreat and more. For more information on any of these opportunities, please contact the church office at 719-598-0800.
- Old Guys’ Breakfast: Not just for old guys, join us for breakfast for an hour at IHOP on N. Academy at 7:00 a.m. each Tuesday morning. These men value good conversation, good humor, devotionals, and pray for each other every week. Oh, and you do need to be over 40ish!
- Breakfast With Dave: Meet at Panera at the Shops at Briargate at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast, prayer and fellowship. Breakfast with Dave meets on Thursdays.
- “Nuts & Bolts”: Nuts and Bolts is our Men’s Fellowship Breakfast. Nuts and Bolts meet the third Saturday of each month from 7:00–8:30 a.m. in the Family Room. It’s a time for men to gather for breakfast, fellowship, and discipleship. We always have an all-around quality experience together in our quest to be better men and disciples of Christ. All men 18 years and older are welcome.
- Men’s Fall Retreat: The men of Covenant hold an annual retreat either at the church or at a retreat facility.
Covenant family members gather in small groups in order to establish deeper relationships with God and with other people. A small group is ideally a safe place for us to experience a caring church family and to be inspired to follow Jesus Christ with wholehearted devotion.
Home Groups: Some of our home groups meet weekly, others twice a week or monthly. Some are focused on Bible Study, others on sharing or prayer support for each other. For some, serving in the community is the focus. Others meet over a meal.
Connections Class: Connections is a class for anyone interested in finding out more about Covenant or in joining our church family. We run this class in the spring and fall over three Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. Our next class will be available in July. Interested? Contact church office in our church office, 719-598-0800.
