Steve Nofel is the interim pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Steve’s journey of faith has many twists, turns, downslopes, and mountain trails. In constant conversation with the Lord, life has never been dull.
He was ordained a minister in 1991. He has served as associate pastor, solo pastor, and co-pastor. However, his true passion is interim ministry. Covenant is his eighth interim/supply pastor experience.
Steve and his wife, Kim, have been married 25 years. Kim is also a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA). She and Steve were co-pastors for over a decade in Cortez, Colorado. Kim is taking a break from ministry and concentrating on teaching and coaching archery.
They have two incredibly talented adult sons. Chuck is a student at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, majoring in mechanical engineering. He is a natural designer and builder. Ask him about his LEGO creations. His younger son, Matthew, is a nationally ranked recurve archer. He is training full-time with an eye toward the Olympic trials. Matt is also working at a local archery shop.
The four Nofels live with Kim’s mom, Marilyn Ruth. She enjoys keeping up with the family’s many adventures.
