Covenant's Learning Communities and Activities

Sundays at 10:45 a.m.
For Children
Nursery is provided for children age 3 and under.
We have fun, interactive classes for children up through 5th grade.
For Middle School and High School
Our students meet together for worship, friendship and growing in Christ.
MS meets in Room 208/209.
HS is in the Family Room.
For Adults
LIFE: A class centered around daily, practical application of God's word, led by Mike O'Rear and Wayne Yenne. We meet in the Fireside Room.
Lectio Divina: A thoughtful time of listening and praying through God's word in the office of our Associate Pastor, Cathy Eskew. We're led by Mike & Beth Royal.
Renaissance: We're doing an overview of the Old Testament in a class called, "What's So New About the New Testament?" It's in Room 202 with Rev. Jeff Kintner.
Roundtables: We meet to consider where we can find the intersection between Christianity and contemporary culture. We are in the Worship Room.
Sundays at 12:15 p.m.
For College/Career/Young Adults
Join us in the atrium at 12:15 p.m. by the Welcome Desk and we'll head out for lunch and Bible study. Eric Bergland coordinates this group.
Tuesdays
For Men
Old Guys' Breakfast: Not just for "old guys", this group meets at Drifters Hamburgers at 4455 Mark Dabling Blvd at 7:00 a.m. Come for laughter, discussion and prayer.
Wednesdays
For Men
Men2Men: 6:30 - 7:45 a.m. Gather for conversation, prayer on matters related to our lives and interaction that becomes lively! Coffee and Panera pastries are served and we're in Room 208/209.
Men2Men II meets from 6:45 - 8:00 p.m. We're in Room 107/109 and this is a great opportunity for those who cannot make it in the morning!
For Women
The Gathering for Women: 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. This class for women is led by our Pastor, Bill Tibert. Childcare is provided by reservation with the church office. This class will resume in the fall.
For All
The Path: 6:45 - 8:00 p.m. in Room 202. This is a Bible study and home group for parents in families with young children.
Faith and Film: 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. in Room 208/209. We watching a movie and enjoying stimulating discussion afterwards. June 11 - July 16.
For Middle and High School
the Forge: 7:01 - 8:15 p.m. This is our mid-week gathering for middle and high schoolers, who meet for worship, fellowship and study. Our middle and high schoolers meet in the Family Room downstairs. On the 3rd Tuesday of the month we gather in the Covenant parking lot by 4:00 p.m. and head down to the Springs Rescue Mission to serve dinner and lead worship. We're led by our Director of Student Ministries, Jeremy Phifer. Check out our website at www.covenantstudentministries.org.
Thursdays
For Men
Breakfast with Dave meets at Panera at the Shops at Briargate at 6:30 a.m. This men's breakfast group enjoys study and fellowship together, and you can join in even if your name is not Dave!
For Women
This is a Beth Moore Bible Study group. There is laughter, sharing, and prayer; childcare is provided by reservation with the church office. We are in Room 208/209 with Rev. Cathy Eskew and Teresa Dodd. This group will resume in the fall.
Other Activities
Home Groups
Covenant's home groups usually meet weekly or every two weeks for fellowship, Bible study, prayer and friendship. Each group has its own unique personality. For more information or to join or start a group, contact Rev. Jeff Kintner, 598-0800.
Women's Ministries
In addition to the activities listed above, our women meet on retreat every fall, usually in October. In 2008 we meet at La Foret..
Book of the Month Club: We meet monthly in members' homes.
Friday Craft Nights: Our crafting/scrapbooking group meets monthly at the church at 6:30 p.m. in Room 208/209. 2/15, 3/14, 4/18, 5/16.
Outreach Ministries
GraceFULL Quilters meet in Room 208/209 twice a month to make gifts of love for our church family
Covenant Knitwits meet with the quilters and are working on knitting and crochet projects for the Springs Rescue Mission and others.
Men's Ministries
Our men hold a fall retreat every year, usually in late September or early October at Bear Trap Ranch in addition to the studies and breakfast groups listed above. This year the retreat is on the weekend of Friday evening, October 3 - Sunday, October 5. Interested? Contact Rev. Jeff Kintner for more information.
Prayer Ministries
Prayer Network: A committed group of prayer allies who pray confidentially for immediate needs.
