Covenant's Learning Communities and Activities

Sundays at 9:00 a.m.
Worship
We gather in the Worship Room on the lower level for worship. Nursery is provided for children age 3 and under.
Children's Church
Our children ages K through 5th grade are invited to attend an age-appropriate worship time. They join us in worship first, and participate in a children's sermon before leaving for this activity. Preschoolers begin at 9:00 a.m.

Sundays at 10:45 a.m.
For Children
Nursery is provided for children age 3 and under.
We have fun, interactive classes for children up through 5th grade.
For Middle School and High School
Our students meet together for worship, friendship and growing in Christ.
MS meets in Room 208/209.
HS is in the Family Room.
For Adults.
LIFE: A class centered around daily, practical application of God's word, led by Mike O'Rear and Wayne Yenne. We meet in the Fireside Room.
Lectio Divina: A thoughtful time of listening and praying through God's word in the office of our Associate Pastor, Cathy Eskew. We're led by Jim & Leta Van Meter.
Roundtables: We meet to consider where we can find the intersection between Christianity and contemporary culture. We are in the Worship Room and are coordinated by Jeff Kintner.

Sundays at 12 noon
For College/Career/Young Adult
Lunch: We gather at the Welcome Desk in the atrium on Sundays at 12 noon to head out together for lunch. Eric Bergland coordinates this group.

For Women Midweek
Mondays
Book of the Month Club: We meet on the last Monday of the month in members' homes or at a coffee shop. Contact the church office for more info.
GraceFULL Quilters: Covenant’s quilt ministry makes gifts for people in special need as well as working on their own projects. We’ll be meeting on the 2nd and 4th Monday evenings from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. as well as the first Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. - 12 noon. If quilting is your passion or you are learning and would like to work with friends, this is the group for you.
Wednesdays
Soul Care is our multigenerational study for women that meets on Tursday mornings at 9:00 a.m. We will focus on developing a stronger relationship with Christ by exploring the ways we live out the spiritual, physical and emotional aspects of our lives, and you may join us for the whole semester or by the topic that interests you. Childcare is provided by reservation with the church office. We will begin again on September 15.
Thursdays
Beth Moore Bible Study: "John". We begin on September 9, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Chidcare is available. Sign up in the atrium starting August 15.
First Place 4 Health: FP4H is a great way to become healthy, lose weight and gain balance. There’s Bible study and prayer, teaching, and support in small groups. We meet in Room 208/209 at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday mornings. Please contact the church office to sign up for the next orientation, which is on Sunday, August 29 at 4:00 p.m. in the Fireside Room. Orientation is essential if you have not attended previously. Come at 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays if you'd like to attend a coed group.
Fridays
Scrapbooking/Crafts: Women will be scrapbooking again in Room 208/209 from 6:30 p.m. – midnight. Bring your projects, friends, food/drink and come to work, talk and laugh.
9/10, 10/22, 11/19, 12/17, 1/14, 2/18, 3/18, 4/15, 5/13.
Mommies' Play Group: Bring your infant, toddler or preschooler for a time of play for kids and conversation and laughter for moms. It's on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month from 9:30 a.m. - 12 noon. Call the church office for the venue.
Women's Fellowship Night: Come to Room 208/209 on the first Friday of the month for table games and friendship from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. This semester we meet on October 1 and December 3.

For Men
Tuesdays
Old Guys' Breakfast: Not just for "old guys", this group meets at IHOP on N. Academy at 7:00 a.m. Come for laughter, discussion and prayer.
Wednesdays
Men2Men: 6:30 - 7:45 a.m. Gather for conversation, prayer on matters related to our lives and interaction that becomes lively! Coffee and Panera pastries are served and we're in Room 208/209.
Thursdays
Breakfast without Dave meets at Panera at the Shops at Briargate at 6:30 a.m. This men's breakfast group enjoys study and fellowship together, and now it does not matter if your name is not Dave!
Men2Men II meets from 6:45 - 8:00 p.m. We're in Room 208/209 and this is a great opportunity for those who cannot make it in the morning!

Men's Retreat
It's at Bear Trap Ranch just outside of Colorado Springs on Friday evening and Saturday, September 24 & 25. It's a great time of fellowship, relaxation and study. The cost is $100. You may register with Jeff Kintner.

For Middle and High School Midweek
Wednesdays
The Forge: 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. This is our mid-week gathering for middle and high schoolers, who meet for worship, fellowship and study. Our middle and high schoolers meet in the Family Room downstairs on alternate weeks (high school on the 1st & 3rd Wednesdays; middle school on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays), and for small groups on the other weeks. We're led by our Director of Student Ministries, JJ Ziser. Check out our website at www.covenantstudentministries.org.

Other Opportunities
Tuesdays
A midweek Bible study for adults led by Rev. Bill Tibert titled "End Times: All the Things Bill Didn't Say". We meet on alternate Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. starting on September 21 in Room 208/209.

Home Groups
Covenant's home groups usually meet weekly or every two weeks for fellowship, Bible study, prayer and friendship. Each group has its own unique personality. For more information or to join or start a group, contact Rev. Jeff Kintner, 598-0800.
